Privacy Policy
Last updated September 13, 2026
The short version
Canyon Collective collects the information you hand us, like your name and email when you fill out a form or book a call, along with the ordinary technical information any website picks up when you visit. We use it to answer you, to do the work we were hired to do, and to show our ads to people who might want them. We do not sell your information, and you can ask us to delete what we hold at any time.
The rest of this page says all of that more precisely, because precision is what a privacy policy is for.
Who we are
Canyon Collective is a brand strategy and marketing practice based in Ojai, California. When this page says "we" or "us", it means Canyon Collective. When it says "you", it means anyone who visits our website, fills out one of our forms, responds to one of our ads, or works with us as a client.
You can reach us any time at jill@canyon-collective.co.

What we collect
Information you give us directly:
Your name, email address and phone number, when you fill out a form on our site, submit a lead form on Instagram or Facebook, or email us.
What you tell us about your business, including the answers you give in a form, on a discovery call, or in the written reflections that begin a Foundations engagement.
Scheduling details when you book a call with us, including the time you chose and anything you wrote in the booking notes.
Billing information when you become a client. Payments run through a third-party processor, and your full card number never reaches us or our systems.
Information collected automatically when you visit our site:
Your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you looked at.
How you arrived, meaning the link, search or ad that sent you here.
Cookies and similar technologies, which the section below explains in full.
Why we use it
We use what we collect to do a small number of specific things.
To answer you when you get in touch, and to send you the follow-up you asked for.
To schedule and hold discovery calls.
To carry out the work when you become a client, including building the brand, messaging and content documents that engagement produces.
To invoice you and keep the financial records a business is required to keep.
To run and measure our advertising, including showing our ads to people whose interests look like those of the people we already work with.
To understand how our website is being used, so we can make it better.
We rely on your consent when you hand us your information through a form, and on our legitimate interest in running and marketing a business for the rest. Where a law requires consent for advertising cookies, we ask for it before those cookies load.
Advertising, and the Meta pixel
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we use the Meta pixel on our website. The pixel is a small piece of code that tells Meta which pages you visited, so we can measure whether an ad worked and show follow-up ads to people who have already been here.
When you submit a lead form inside Instagram or Facebook, Meta collects your answers and passes them to us. Meta handles that information under its own privacy policy, which you can read at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
You can limit what Meta shares with advertisers in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising more broadly at youradchoices.com or optout.aboutads.info.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our site uses cookies that keep it working properly, along with advertising cookies set by Meta. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work, though some parts of it may behave differently.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone who wants to market to you on their own behalf.
We do share it with the companies that help us run the business, and only as much as each one needs to do its job.
Meta Platforms, for advertising and lead forms.
Our scheduling provider, for booking and holding calls.
Our payment processor, for invoicing and payments.
Our website host and the ordinary infrastructure a website runs on.
We may also share information when the law requires it, or when we need to protect our rights or someone else's safety.
How long we keep it
We keep client records and the documents produced during an engagement for as long as you are a client and for seven years afterward, which covers our tax and contractual obligations.
We keep enquiries and lead form submissions for two years, so we can pick up a conversation that went quiet.
You can ask us to delete any of it sooner, and we will, apart from anything we are legally required to hold onto.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to send you a copy of it. Write to jill@canyon-collective.co and we will come back to you within thirty days.
If you are in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. We honor every one of those requests, and we will never treat you differently for making one.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to object to how we use your information, to restrict that use, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Every marketing email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough.
Security
We protect your information with the measures a practice our size can reasonably put in place, including encrypted storage and limited access. No system online is perfectly secure, and we would rather say that plainly than promise otherwise.
Children
Our work is for people running businesses, and our site is not directed at anyone under sixteen. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change how we handle information, we update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so directly to anyone it affects.
