Jill Snowden

Jill is the founder of Canyon Collective, a communications and marketing strategist with more than 25 years of experience guiding brands through launch, reinvention, and growth.

After earning her Journalism degree from the University of Florida, she began her career at CNN, helping shape narratives for on-air talent. She later moved to New York City with a U-Haul and a dream, and worked her way up through top agencies including Ketchum/Omnicom, and Kaplow Communications.

She since led in-house marketing for brands including Manduka and The Sak, and held senior agency leadership roles guiding strategy for innovative brands including Tropicana, Absolut, Kodak, Tylenol, Treseme, Target, CAULIPOWER, Jarrow Probiotics, Comvita Manuka Honey, Saje Natural Wellness, Society6, iHerb, Glow Beauty, Nutribullet, Mentos along with local women entrepreneurs including the founders of Wild Qi, TISSE and Cristen Rene Design.

Over the past decade, Jill has also worked closely with top digital creators as a talent manager, representing voices in the wellness and culinary spaces and helping them translate their expertise into meaningful partnerships, platforms, and businesses.

Jill also plugs in as a fractional CMO for start-ups across wellness, fashion, tech, non-profit, and mental health — embedding alongside founders to shape strategy, build out marketing foundations, and help guide brands through their earliest stretch of growth.

Today, through Canyon Collective, she helps personal brands, founders and solopreneurs translate lived experience into clear purpose, positioning, grounded messaging, and thoughtful marketing that supports sustainable growth and community.

She has spent the last decade planting roots in Ojai, California — building a life in the community alongside her son Bodhi and her rescue pup Levi. When she isn't building brands, she's camping or hiking the Los Padres National Forest and looking for her next thrift find with a iced vanilla latte in hand.

Alex brings brands to life visually, translating strategy into cohesive, distinctive design systems.

She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and has since worked with brands including The Garland Hotel, Metrolink, and VCA Animal Hospitals, along with local businesses such as GARA Skincare, Sunday’s, Ojai Coffee Roasters, Sespe Creek Collective, Meiners Oaks Community Garden and many more.

She leads visual identity development including logo design, color and typography systems, and overall brand direction, along with Squarespace website design that reflects the brand clearly and beautifully.

Her work also extends into the physical expression of a brand through product packaging, print materials, marketing collateral, social templates, gifting and unboxing concepts, event signage and more.

When she’s off duty, you can find Alex spending time with friends and family, embodying hygge with her Tortie cat Lotus at home, hiking around Ojai, or (very slowly) figuring out how to knit a cable-knit sweater.
